TOS viewing frequency...

48 ( popular age) and I watch every week because of TOS-R. I also watch the reruns on TV Land ( or where ever they show up) if I run across them while surfing. When the need arises I will break out the DVDs to double check my facts when discussing Star Trek on this BBS

I watch TOS once in a while. It's still my favorite trek series. I watched TOS-R every week when it started but after the first 2 months, the sfx were just too cartoony and I only watched the occasional show like Doomsday Machine or Tholian Web. Recently, I just stopped watching TOS-R altogether. I can grab the old show and put it in the machine whenever I want and not have to worry about all the baseball preemptions with the TOS-R airings during the summer.

Over 30 and watch it very infrequently. Generally it's not on at a time I'm watching TV except for the odd time I come across a remastered episode on a Sunday afternoon.

Haven't regularly watched the show in years.

Over 30 and still watching regularly. As with all things trek, my interest in a particular series waxes and wanes with time. Some episodes I have not seen in years while others I watch with some regularity.

I tape TOS-R every week and watch it. Plus, I work out daily with the TV on and I will often put on a Star Trek show to watch while jogging, etc.

It is funny-sometimes episodes that had previously bored me in the past become intensely interesting if I am older or looking at them from a different perspective. I used to be very ambivalent r.e. "The Conscience of the King" but the last time I watched this I really got more out of it than I had in a decade as I am more interested in Kirk's backstory. Similarly, "The Man Trap" is now more interesting to me given the light it sheds on McCoy.

There have been times when I did not watch TOS for very extended periods, but I always come back to it, even if the gap is very long.

Fair weather viewers, ain't cha. I watch TOS every friggn' day!

I guess that deserves an explaination. Yeah, I'm deployed over in Iraq and I loaded as many TOS-R and classic TOS episodes I could on my iPod. I figure watch at least an episode a day (considering I don't have a TV and there is nothing to watch even if I did).

I imagine when I return to the states, I probably fall back into the "once in a while" category. The weird thing is I still see some aspect in each episode I didn't notice before.

And I'm 39, if you're keeping score.

Turned 31, this year, and I still can't get enough of TOS. It's one of those things that lit my imagination when I was barely outta diapers and walking, and it's stuck with me ever since. The same goes for anything "Superman."

Trek and Supes are the only thing that if I catch it on the tube, I'll set and watch it. And on the occasion I have some free time, I'll pop in a DVD and watch 'em.

I'm 39 and I just watch every once in a while. I've seen every episode probably 30 times over the course of my life so I find it hard to make it through many episodes so I watch one or two here and there. Itend to get a bit bored since I know every twist and turn of the plot by heart.

48. I've not seen them in a while. I'm a bit Star Trekked out. Doesn't mean I don't like it, means that I've been on this board for 7 years and am more in a dormant Trek phase.

Kinda sorta. I still loves my Kirk, Spock and McCoy. Often imitated, never surpassed!

Over 30, watch once in a while.

I'd watch more often but my wife doesn't like sci-fi stuff very much (except for Babylon 5, for some reason.)

40-ran through them all when I got the first release DVD's over the period of a couple years, I had NEVER seen TOS look and sound that good. Then it was just once in awhile. Now with remastered every week, it's been a lot of fun to get friends over and watch for new effects, bitch and moan about the edits and make a night of it. I suspect when the HD-remastered discs are out, I might have an HD set and player by then and will have yet another reason to zip through them. Can't wait!

I'm 20 and I have the first season on DVD, so I watch that quite often. I'm in the uk so very occasionaly I watch it when the BBC airs it very late on friday nights, although it depends on the episode - a few times my flatmate and I have sat up until 2:00am, turned the tv on, said something like "I'm not bloody staying up for "The Omega Glory" and then gone straight to bed - however at reasonable time I'm definitely in the, if its on, I'll watch it category.

Well, I'm a few months shy of 40 and watch Trek all the time. It's not the only thing, mind you, but I watch it quite often. I'll pop in the episodes from a season set if I want to watch a few at once. Or I'll graban individual volume DVD if I want to only watch one and not have to deal with the set packaging. Or maybe, I'll slip on a Laser Disc copy for the original sound mix and preview where it belongs.

It's the best Trek of the 5 shows and it gets plenty of viewing from me and has since I was 4 (except for that gap when it wasn't on every day and before the VHS tapes came out).

I'm 27 and I watch it pretty regularly still. It's the only Trek series I feel compelled to own, even though I've been slowly netflixing through TNG, and just started DS9. I mean, I've seen all of TNG and DS9 before, but I'm just not as connected to them as TOS.

Of the 179 or whatever TNG episodes, I can't really imagine more than 10 I would pop in and watch for fun while I'm working on something, but there are about 76 TOS episodes I would gladly watch on a whim.

TOS is the only series I own on DVD (I have the rest recorded on VHS) and probably the only one I'm willing to buy. I took a four year hiatus while I was in college but I'm now back to regular viewing! :) And as other posters have indicated, I've noticed new things with this repeat viewing despite having seen each episode at least 10 times.

Edit: I'm 23, by the way.

Over 30 (about to be 40) and I watch on occasion. It's on every weekday in Canada on cable and I DVR it when a favourite episode comes on the schedule (though I often run out of time and it's gone before I can settle in to watch it). I probably grab 1-3 episodes a month (would probably be double that if I saw all the ones I record on the DVR).

44 and still watch it regularly. In fact TOS, TOS-R and Enterprise (on HDNet since I didn't have an HD set until recently and have yet to see all the ENT eps in native HD format); are the only 'franchis' episodes I catch.

TNG is virtually unwatchable to me anymore; and even DS9 comes across as somewhat 'meh'; and it used to be my favorite after TOS.

I'm 41. I still can't get enough. As noted before, I took my DVD box sets, ripped the audio off 'em, encoded to wma, and have them in my philips GoGear.

We listen to 3-5 episodes... every day, at work, with the player set to randomise.

Oh, one note: "...and the Children Shall Lead" is omitted.

So, I don't watch, but I listen to 20 or so episodes every week.
