TOS/TNG numbered novels

^Of the characters on DS9, I'd say Leeta came far closer to the "manic pixie dream girl" archetype than Jadzia did. (Although Ezri was the most pixieish.)

Anyway, I resist the practice of starting with a stock label and trying to rationalize ways that characters can fit it. You can usually find a few similarities between things that aren't really the same, but you have to consider the differences too or it isn't an honest assessment.

I really enjoyed The Entropy Effect and Web of the Romulans for TOS. For TNG, my favorite is Requiem out of what I read.

There are a lot of these to be sure. My question is, which ones would you consider to be the best in each series?
The novels from the numbered era that I really liked:

TOS
2) The Entropy Effect by Vonda McIntyre
11) Yesterday's Son by A.C. Crispin
13) The Wounded Sky by Diane Duane
16) The Final Reflection by John M. Ford
39) Time For Yesterday by A.C. Crispin (sequel to Yesterday's Son)
44) Vulcan's Glory by D.C. Fontana
54) A Flag Full of Stars by Brad Ferguson (The Lost Years, Book 2 - Though I recommend that you track down Ferguson's original version before the heavy-handed edits, which is still floating around out there in PDF form)
70) Traitor Winds by L.A. Graf (The Lost Years, Book 3)
76) The Captain's Daughter by Peter David
85) My Brother's Keeper, Book 1: Republic by Michael Jan Friedman
86) My Brother's Keeper, Book 2: Constitution by Michael Jan Friedman
87) My Brother's Keeper, Book 3: Enterprise by Michael Jan Friedman

Strangers From The Sky by Margaret Wander Bonanno
Cloak by S.D. Perry (Section 31, Book 3)

TNG
10) A Rock and a Hard Place by Peter David
18) Q-in-Law by Peter David

Vendetta by Peter David
Imzadi by Peter David

I’ll stick with the number novels, in numerical order. I have to say, Rogue Saucer is one of my all time favs and I was glad to see a shoutout earlier for War Drums, one of those forgotten Next Gen novels.

TOS
#36 How Much For Just the Planet?

#45 Double, Double
#54 A Flag Full of Stars

#72 The Better Man
#84 Assignment: Eternity

TNG
#18 Q-in-Law
#28 Here There Be Dragons
#32 Requiem
#35 The Romulan Stratagem

#39 Rogue Saucer
