TOS scripts to read?

Are there any sites online where I can read TOS scripts??

I can find the movies and TNG etc but never any TOS scripts.

Anybody know of anyplace where they can be found??

Thanks!!

^^Well, those aren't scripts but bare-bones closed-captioning transcripts. Thus, not only do they not attribute who's saying what or give any scene descriptions or stage directions, but they contain occasional paraphrases. Still, I'm not aware of any other online site for TOS transcripts.

So someone can get the whole TOS script library for $1200 or read verbatim copies from the close captions?

Very helpful.

How about an online site such as was mentioned in the original question?

It's not outlandish, since the ENTIRE TNG & DS9 series and all the movies are available online.

What I find funny though is about 10 years ago some stupid company made bound Movie scripts and sold them for $20 a pop--except they weren't scripts at all but verbatim copies of the RELEASED movie rather than entire original script with the cut out parts!!

People who want to read the scripts want to read the scenes and lines that were cut out NOT the exact stuff they could watch on their DVD or video.

^^^Well, I usually include all the deleted scenes/unshot scenes in my synopses of the scripts I own, but even then, sometimes I worry that I'm putting too much online with no compensation to the writers. I know I'm permitted to quote brief portions for the purpose of reviewing, but still. . .

Hell, when I buy them, either from Roddenberry's son's site, or from sellers here and there, I have a twinge of guilt, knowiing that the original authors will never see a cent of the money I spend on a product they created.

I am not a lawyer, and I do not know if the writer would be owed compensation if someone posted their entire script online, but I prefer to err on the side of caution. It is something I would never do.

Understood. Even so, it's better than going to the DVDs when one needs a quick bit of the show.

There were quite a number of folks who worked on Trek who referred to Lincoln Enterprises as "the plantation."
