Excellent news. From History's Shadow is, IMO, the strongest work that I've read from Dayton Ward, either solo or along with Kevin Dilmore, so a sequel is something that I'll definitely welcome and look forward to reading. :)

A great book, and I re-read it only a month ago.

Looking forward to see the characters again, at least some of them.

    Good news!

I enjoyed it, too. And I´m glad that there will be a sequel. It wasn´t a typical ST novel with different characters occupying the center stage. And I liked the story

with project Majestic 12 and James Wainwright and Allison getting old. All in all I liked the concept of "the aliens are already among us"

I finished reading this earlier today and I really, really enjoyed it.
Little Green Men has always been one of my favorite DS9 episodes, so I loved that the book used that as kind of a jumping off point for Wainright's story. The book actually made me really like Wainright, which was a bit of a surprise since he was kind of the bad guy in LGM. The stuff with the Certoss in the past was good, and they gave us nice bit of connective tissue for all of the other episodes that icame into play here. I was surprised it tied back into The Temporal Cold War.
I especially liked all of the extra context we got for Assignment: Earth. I actually watched the episode the just after I got to that part of the book, and it was kind of fun to imagine all of the stuff with the Certoss and Wainright and Marshall going on off screen.
The 23rd Century stuff was good to, the Tandarans from Enterprise playing such a big role was a surprise.
I'm a big fan of Gary Seven and Roberta Lincoln, so I liked getting to see them again, and it was nice to get to meet some other Aegis agents too.
This definitely gets an Outstanding from me.
