Thanks for the responses. Actually, I was hoping that you would identify your single favorite TV series after TOS.
On a board full of people who make and constantly revise lists about everything, down to the smallest detail? Good luck with that.

Ahh..
Try
The Outer Limits (early 60's version)
UFO
Combat
The Rat Patrol
Firefly
Space 1999
Johnney Quest (Again 60s version)
Roughnecks (Starship Trooper Chronicles)
Fantastic Journey
The Man From UNCLE
Starblazers
Robotech
Bablyon 5
Red Dwarf

There's a lot of stuff here I have never even heard of, so I am anxious to buy some DVD's to see what some of these are all about.

My second favorite show still hasn't been listed, and I am a bit suprised. Season 1 of Kung Fu absolutely rocks. Really beautiful stuff. Seasons 2 and 3 go way downhill, though. Get the DVD if you haven't seen it in years.

Recent TV:

Bridezillas
Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations
Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern
House
Myth Busters

Classic Shows (non-trek):

Frasier
Married With Children

M*A*S*H (Henry Blake era)

Seinfeld (which actually featured Col. Flagg in an episode)

All In The Family

The Dick Van Dyke Show

The Mary Tyler Moore Show

The Bob Newhart Show

The Honeymooners

The White Shadow (honorable mention)

Well, most of them, I have on DVD, so I can choose the time to watch them.
For instance, I watched all seven seasons of The West Wing in one week, when I had a vacation.
Last year, during my 3-week yearly vacation, I bought and watched all seasons of Stargate SG1 (except season 10, which wasn't out yet).
The year before, it was all seasons of Buffy and Angel.
Next year, I'm thinking of buying all seasons of Charmed, although something better might come along; I'll decide that next year, when my vacation begins.
Of course, in the weekends, I often have a lot of free time; last week, I bought Stargate SG1 season 10, and by sunday evening I had seen all episodes.
Whenever I buy something new on DVD, only one thing is important to me : is this something I will rewatch in the future? When I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, I buy it.

My all time, hands-down, favorite tv show is The Sopranos followed very closely (so closely it occupies the same space a la the computer simulation in TVH) by The Wire. TOS handed its pinball crown to them ages ago and I doubt they'll be passing it on any time soon. I make time for Mad Men, House, The Daily Show/Colbert Report, and the occasional episode of Dr. Who (I watch very little SF tv, though).

Oh yeah: Tomalak is right about I, Claudius. It's another all-time greatest yadda yadda yadda. A few years ago, I opted to get that rather than Season 1 of TOS on DVD.

Comedy: Amos 'n' Andy; The Honeymooners (Classic 39 only); The Dick Van Dyke Show; Fawlty Towers
Drama: The Paper Chase
Mystery: Columbo
Horror: Boris Karloff's Thriller
Animated: Dilbert
SF: Adventures of Superman; The Twilight Zone
Guilty Pleasures: The Waltons; Father Murphy
NOT: Batman, any funny monsters.

Kung Fu
Firefly
The Bob Newhart Show / Newhart
Seinfeld
The Office
Night Gallery
Battlestar Galactica (new)

Ditto.

I have a whole load of stuff on DVD, and even some old videos. Some of my favourite shows I only saw when first broadcast, and have been living of nostalgia ever since then.

But the big kicker is that I only watch around 4 or 5 hours of broadcast TV a week. Right now I'm watching Heroes, Smallville, QI and I saw the first episode of Jericho the other day. I may click onto a rolling news channel once in a while. But that's it. If I have something on DVD, I won't watch it on TV, so no DS9 for me. And you'd have to torture me before I watch any reality show or soap. Which pretty much rules out 99% of modern schedules.
