TOS-era Romulan warbird

In the second series of DC's TOS comics there appears an interesting variation on the Romulan Warbird, a sort of transitional design between the Klingon borrowed D7/K'tingas and the TNG Warbird.

Apart from the comic series, did this appear anywhere else, like in an RPG sourcebook or something like that? Just curious about the design.

I'm 99% sure it was a design unique to the comic. It definitely wasn't a FASA design, like the Romulan Nova-class from DC's first TOS series.

I like it. It's got a pre-romulan warbird look to it and also shows an exchange of Romulan-Klingon technological design. Since we have never seen any Romulan ships between TOS and TNG I think it's a nice go between and it reminds me of something someone on this message board did a few years back. A movie era Romulan Ship.

Ah yes, I remember that ship from the comics. The "Time Crime" saga--brings back memories!
