Hehehe...Galaxy Quest...yea, I thought about doing that as sort of an "out take" (along with the shuttlecraft crashing and rolling/tumbling into the shuttle bay). Something to put in special features if I ever put this on a DVD.

In any case, I went on the assumption that the original would be at least a little smaller than the movie version and adjusted scale (via Mark I Eyeball) accordingly. All scales are approximated for this animation anyways, so it's not like it had to be exactly on the money or anything...just wanted it close enough so that people don't sit there and go "wait a minute..." (which some probably will anyways since we never saw the TOS Enterprise pulling in/out of "the mushroom" except in other Youtube tributes).

most of the changes are simplistic. the saucer got widened, the secondary hull got a complete rebuild/replacement and the change in warp nacelles and angle make the ship longer.
