TOS Borg Design

There was a discussion in The OS forum about what a Borg might look like. So I came up with this. Tried to keep it with in the TOS aesthetic/limits. So we have a leotard, a reused prop and some basic off the shelf items.

Stayed away from making it too "clunky". TOS usually avoided that,

I would think the circuit board print you've come up with wouldn't have been thought of before the late 70s. Looks more like Tron than Trek. I would suggest something more done with wires and resistors and maybe some plumbing stuff. Think along the lines of the TOS androids we saw, like Norman and Doctor Korby.

Phase II Borg. Then it would be perfect.

Either a bald cap or a recycled TOS Romulan helmet with some extra doodads (either one spraypainted silver) wouldn't go amiss either for the 60's version.

i'd guess some elements like the Dr Who Cybermen from the 1960's would have reared their heads.. especially the chest-box with hoses approach. perhaps even the silvery jumpsuit. though since the Borg would still be a man-machine combination they'd probably leave the head exposed.

i'm convinced that the reason this look was picked for Dr. Who at the time was the space Race, because the end result looks rather like a mercury program space suit gone evil.
