TOS Audio Mix on Paramount+

I can't seem to find a thread about this, so forgive me if it's been brought up ...

What's going on with the audio mix of TOS on Paramount+? I noticed quite a while ago that you can barely hear Shatner's opening narration, and I'm amazed to find that it still hasn't been fixed in all this time. I swear there are other issues in the audio mix with volume levels of dialogue vs music, but that may just be me. But the weird mix of the intro is definitely something other people have noticed.

It's not even consistent among episodes! I was watching another episode, Operation Annihilate, I think, and it was okay.

What gives?

Is "Operation: Annihilate" presented with the original fx? I seem to recall people talking about that episode being the oddball on a streaming service.

Regarding Shatner's narration - the same problem was on the first HD/DVD double sided discs of TOS-R here in the UK. Possibly Paramount+ is using that same mix.

If you watch the show with a 5.1 set up the narration comes across as it should, but if you're watching with a two channel set up then the narration gets drowned out. This is why I stick with blu-rays.

Both versions (original and remastered) should be made available on Paramount +, like they are on Amazon Prime.

Blu-ray is the only way to watch with high definition AND the original effects, that I know of.
