In the early to mid-1970s, I used to tune in a Canadian station to watch Star Trek on Saturday mornings. I recall seeing a few commercials with Shatner as the pitchman for Loblaws supermarkets and Promise margarine.

I believe it came out in 1990 which would make it Star Trek V.5 (which would explain Kirks TFF jacket)

I remember Shatner and Nimoy (and Stewart) in those Pontiac Mini-Van commercials in the U.S. ...they did not last long, but each actor had his real daughter in the passenger seat...they were for the Pontiac Transport model...get it?...as I said, they did not air for long...

Stewart was the narrator for Pontiac commercials for a time, but as far as I remember he never actually appeared in any of them. Are you sure you aren't confusing that with the Oldsmobile commercials featuring Nimoy and Shatner?

Pretty sure I remember all three with their daughters in the Transport minivan model, but it could also be the Saurian Brandy talking!... ...star field in the background...lame connections to transporters and space...some warp-like effects...

Oldsmobile at the time was on a real kick about being the "high tech" line of the GM fleet, and the Trek tie-in worked with that.

Pontiac was much more about attracting a jock type customer, and I'm sure they would have seen these outer space ads as being hopelessly dorky.

Well, it was finally a good thing that Melanie Shatner didn't talk in Star Trek V.
