They don't need to tone it down! Killing off two characters wasn't enough, they have to change the things that made Torchwood TORCHWOOD???? The first season was a little much in places, but the second season was just right.

The second season was utter bollocks. It just looks decent next to season 1 because anything seems like a good idea in comparison.

Even getting a blow job from the elephant man would be preferable to sitting through Countrycide.
