Did you actually read the story? That's no confirmation contained in it, just a rehash of comments made during the SDCC.

If/when Series 4 is confirmed it'll be by the BBC.

yep we still have no offical confirmation about a 4th series, and of course no offical axing but im starting to wonder which it is.

Yeah, the only sources I consider to be reputable regarding the Who franchise are the BBC, DWM and Torchwood Magazine, and comments made by the production team in some sort of official forum (conventions, DWM, etc).

Items posted to blogs and even media are more often than not bogus. Remember when Kylie Minogue had been cast as a Cyberwoman according to all the media? Or that Paterson Joseph had been cast as the 11th Doctor? Or that David Tennant had been signed for 3 more seasons last year? (I think that last was even reported by the Times!). The new Doctor Who News Page (resurrected from the old OG one) is also a source I trust because they're not afraid to point out the difference between rumor and confirmed fact.

It's fun to speculate, but until the BBC says it's so, it isn't so.

But we can still HOPE so!

to be fair there was some truth in that,

1) Kylie did appear in Doctor Who
2) a Cyberwoman did appear in Torchwood

not 100% correct I grant you, but still they get some stuff right.

I still like the idea of Gwen struggling to keep Torchwood going for 4-5 episodes. Then just as the ships in the alien armada are arming thir missiles, the digital timer on the Doomsday weapon hits 0:10, and her baby nephew has found the keys to the box containing the zombie virus, a dark figure appears in the doorway.
