Tora Ziyal has cancer

I wish you lots of strengh and I will pray for a successful fight against the cancer, if the diagnosis turns out to be so. My thoughts are with you.

TerokNor

I would really appreciate prayers from those of you who pray and good vibes or whatever from those of you who don't.

Wow...

You're strong and will get through this. I don't pray, but I would be glad to send gummi bears. They always make me feel better.

^Hmm... Never considered the curative powers of gummi bears. Someone should do a study. ;)

Thank you, Everyone, for the good wishes and support.

Thanks, ares93. No hurry to see the thread; I intend to be around a while. I love how international this forum is: I don't think I've ever been addressed as "mate" before. ;)

I am truly sorry to hear that this past 12 month period has been so very awful for you, I will send you all the good thoughts I can along with whatever Karma I have built up in the universe to hopefully, in some small way, aid to your full and successful recovery.

So it's official. The tumor is definitely malignant, almost definitely a chordoma, which is a rare primary bone cancer (actually, all primary bone cancers are rare). But there's a "remote possibility" of it instead being a metastasis from elsewhere, so they're going to do some more testing.

That's awful news. On the chance that it is indeed a primary chordoma and the sole focus of disease (instead of a met), let's hope that it can be eventually excised and treated as fully as possible.

In any case, you have our best wishes always. Just keep going, TZ. :)

What an awful, awful year you've had. I'm not sure what to say. I only know you from your posts on this board, but your OP brought me to tears and learning that you have confirmed cancer is bringing me to tears anew.

I will say that this board was, for the most part, a sympathetic refuge and a great support during following my own bad assault two years ago. We're here to support you and be your cheering section through this.

I don't have any brushes with cancer to my credit, but I know a thing or two about surviving a violent assault, surviving the aftermath and feeling like you're being completely dog-piled without mercy by a new terror every day. If you ever want to talk, my PM box is open.

Horrid, horrid news. :(

You have my best wishes for a good outcome. Keeping fingers crossed that it's not a met.

I do hope it's not a metastasis and that they can just take it out and plan a thorough treatment for you. Hang in there.

I think, and hope, that when the doctors say that a meta is a remote possibility, they mean very remote. Here's hoping that they can nip this sucker in the bud.
