...Return Appearance of a Companion?

Sure, we all like new things, places, and people. However, in Doctor Who, the universe is open. Time travel, casting, and/or special effects allows even the most vague and distance classic concept to be revisited.

Given that, gun to your head forced to choose, who would be your top three choices of companions to see return to Doctor Who ala' School Reunion or even ala' something along the lines of recasting, offspring, or regeneration?

Susan and Jamie are no-brainers. The third, I had to decide between Romana, who we saw years or, or Liz, who was unceremoniously dumped after just one season. We've already seen the Brig recently, and Useless will be in a two-parter with Eleven later this year in SJA.

Of the others ... the actors who played Harry, Barbara and Ben are dead, Zoe is pointless without Jamie, Adric's dead, Peri and Mel are both annoying shrews played by terrible actresses, I don't like Tegan, Nyssa's a possibility, Turlough was way too annoying, and Leela's probably dead. That leaves Ace, and we don't have any idea what happened to her. Sara is dead, Dodo apparently isn't liked by anybody (I liked her well enough in her half-story War Games),

So ... Susan, Jamie, and Liz.

i woulda voted for Romana, but if she was to return i'd rather it was a new regeneration...

i also thought of voting for Jo, but she's got her SJA appearance coming up...

Barbara and Harry are my favorite companions, so I voted for them. Unfortunately, Jacqueline Hill and Ian Marter are no longer with us, so that's purely theoretical of course. And I voted for Frobisher because I really like penguins.

Romana (either Lalla Ward or a new regeneration), Leela, and Ace are my choices although I also really want the Brigadier to return (and not just on Sarah Jane Adventures) but he wasn't an option in the poll.

I'd like to see the Time Lords Susan and Romana. I also picked Grace Halloway since we only got to see her once. Hmmm, maybe should could appear in the new Torchwood.

I also wanted to say Ace, just to see what happened to her. Peri would be an alternate for the same reason.

Ace, cos I had a bit of a crush on her when I was younger. Don't look at me like that there was only her and Sylvester when I was born :P

Oh and Lucie. Because she was, well ace! No pun intended. She was like the character I wish they'd got Billie to play.

I didn't, and still don't fancy Ace and I neither like the character nor the actress' performance. Honestly, her popularity baffles me.

Though really, either Romana would do, even a newly regenerated Romana..

Good to see lots of love for Leela, she was always my favourite companion in the old series. I'd love to see Harry return too, but, alas, Ian Marter is long gone and I don't really like the idea of a recast..
