I just read yesterday that Real Madrid's average salary is 7.4 million $ or something like that, and Barcelona not far behind...

The article implies a lot of the clubs' budgets are financed by debt. Doesn't sound very healthy if true.

Wow, I thought F1 drivers would be well paid, but that is completely insane.

They don't pay money to win an F1 race just points.
now NASCAR's Juan Pablo Montoya's $5,088,410 is money won, but I would bet he makes another 15-20 million off souvenir sales.
