Who Watches the Watchers - Picard takes a bullet for what he believes in. Whatta man!

Unnatural Selection - Pulaski at her butt kicking maximum. Shows real chemistry between Muldaur and Stewart.

The Measure of a Man - "Data is a toaster, have him report to Starbase 17 for experimental refit." I don't think any words have ever made me angrier!

The Offspring - The scummy part of Starfleet decides to take Data's daughter way from him. Another human rights issue episode again that really hits home.

I, Borg - Shows the origins of prejudice better than any show I've ever seen. Proves you can make friends with your enemy. Gives you hope.

Menage Troi - My girl Majel at her comic best! She and Corsentino (as Togg the Ferengi) owned that episode. My all-time favorite!

^Tapestry is considered in most peoples top 10's. Hardly "underated".

I don't have a five as yet, but I must mention Home Soil, which I watched on Friday. Lots of great "hard sci-fi" ideas. I'd love to see what the remasters could do with this one.

Unnatural Selection, Time Squared, The Survivors, Night Terrors, Rascals.

There are quite a few episodes in the much maligned second season that hold up really well in comparison to the very strange course some sixth and seventh season episodes took.

First Contact....the episode is another underrated favorite of mine.

Booby Trap for sure! A little cheesy in the romance department, but the cinematography, score and acting are superb!

I am pretty sure a lot of the ones people are listing aren't underrated and are actually widely liked but I know mine isn't:

Genesis

Yes Genesis! I know the science is stupid but the episode has a lot of atmosphere and a sense of fun and excitement. Also great makeup effects. I love it!

Seeing Worf as a proto Klingon is I think, one of my first Star Trek memories... Cool episode.

Yes, this is one of the few episodes from Season 7 that I enjoy. I've always had a fondness for the crew-returns-in-shuttle-to-weird-happenings-on-ship [TM] episodes. ("Genesis," "Timescape," Voyager's "Macrocosm," etc.)

Great episode with a really creepy/campy villain. Great character development for Data, and we get to see Geordi's devotion to their friendship, and his knowledge of Data.
