Nobody has mentioned the old Spiderman theme....
Just five? Now that's hard.
1. M*A*S*H (Johnny Mandel)
2. MillenniuM (Mark Snow)
3. Dynasty (Bill Conti)
4. The Cosby Show (Bill Cosby & Stu Gardner; Season 5 version)
5. Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (William Olvis)
Cowboy Bebop
Batman: the Animated Series
Daria
Teen Titans
The X-Files (perhaps its ubiquity makes it easy to forget how distinctive it is)

I think that anytime you have to cite a specific season you've lost the point of the original question. IMO.
1. Angel: the Series - Ah, what gorgeous dark, moody cellos! Darling Violetta rocks! And then there's the montage of pain, suffering, Phantom Dennis!, window and mirror-shattering, ass-kicking and wet alleys with vampire reflections. The elongated Sanctuary mix by Darling Violetta is awesome.
2. Buffy, the Vampire Slayer - Rockin' along with Nerf Herder, the harvest moon, a werewolf howl and Catherine Madison's scream. LOL. Overall, season 3 had the best credits (well, my favorites anyway--it's mostly season 2 footage). However, I disliked the second version of the theme. The original one (seasons 1 and 2) was more raw.
3. I Love Lucy - Namely Desi's singing version of the theme song with the touching lyrics (the fact that this was used in the most touching scene of the home video documentary Lucie Arnaz did with the last time her parents were together is almost enough to make you want to cry). Mostly, I'm just a little obsessed with Desi. A big gray/pink heart with cursive writing to this one (though that was the rerun opener only). Or rather, the originally used adorable little stick figures. Com'on, points to the smooching stick figures.
4. Happy Days - "Goodbye, grey sky, hello, blue. There's nothing can hold me when I hold you. Feels so right, it can't be wrong. Rockin' and rollin' all week long..." Just a friggin' great song. Being an oldies nut, the '50s-esque '70s tune has a lot going for it. And yes, I'm aware that the first season used Rock Around the Clock.
5. I Dream of Jeannie - Cartoon Jeannie smokes out of her bottle on the beach and does her little dance to this memorable little tune. I find the Jeannie tune a bit more memorable than the similar Bewitched one (Dick York/Sargent switched Darrins humor aside), honestly.
