Top 5 TV theme songs, read the rules before posting.

Hanks sang the theme. He's even admitted so in the past. It's just that you have to listen closely to tell it's his voice and not some random studio musician from that era.

This Life (from Sons of Anarchy)
Bad Things (from True Blood)
The Ballad of the Unknown Stuntman (from The Fall Guy)
Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs (from Frasier)
A Perfect Lie (from Nip/Tuck)
Hey Beautiful (from How I Met Your Mother)

Great. Now I have The Fall Guy theme going through my head - complete with words. I didn't even know they were still in there.

I hope that he didn't sing to her while they were married.

The theme was great. Heather Thomas walking through a pair of swinging doors wearing a flimsy bikini that would be smokin' hot now?

Even greater.

Season Five, also my favorite season of the show.

The complete version, which was sometimes played in season two.

Always loved The Cosby Show. This was the best version of the show's theme, I think.

This series was short-lived, but from what I saw, VERY funny. The poster of the video was incorrect and the show actually aired in 1986. I always thought this theme would go well with the opening to The Golden Girls.

I guess you missed the part about the songs having to have lyrics that are sung.

Welcome Back Kotter by John Sebastian falls #12 on my list, right after Moonlighting.

1. Only Fools and Horse, one of the only shows I have found to have an equally awesome beginning and end song.

2. Young Ones

3. Red Dwarf, we can still list an end theme right? Well others used it and I am as well.

4. Are You Being Served

5. Absolutely Fabulous, not sure if this fits or not since there were versions with and without lyrics and I really can't remember which was used more often.

Oddly, I am an American but all my picks are from the UK.

Sappy? Corny?

Sure. And the show it was attached to wasn't really any good. But I've always enjoyed it.

Bit of a digression here, but it was always extremely weird to me that "Joanie Loves Chachi" was a spinoff of, and features characters from, "Happy Days," a show set in the 1950s...but the spinoff was (based on the clothes, hair, etc.) set in the 70s.

Was this the "Earth 2" Joanie and Chachi or what?

A few contenders that haven't been mentioned yet.

Roswell (whatever happened to Dido anyway?)

Wonder Woman ("In her satin tights, fighting for her rights!")

Cleopatra 2525 (Hey, I liked it!)
