Top 5 Over-rated Episodes

My top two:

1) All Good Things. It was okay-ish, but I wish it hadn't relied on so many TNG cliches. Just don't get all the fan gushing for it.

2) The Inner Light. Sorry folks, pretty dull. Yes, Stewart gives a good performance, but he does in MOST eps. Never understood the love.

I can't really think of any others that are OVER-rated in my opinion.

And why have we got episodes like "Masks" and "Up the Long ladder" here!? Do people not understand what "over-rated" means??

"Inner Light".

Just couldn't get into it. Never could understand what all the hoopla was about.

If they took some risks in the episode, like his wife cheating on him and then they reconciled, it may have more of an emotional impact.

This episode is almost always rated in the 'best top 5' in Trek.

That wouldn't have been consistant with the alein probe gimmick.

1. The Inner Light

AWFUL! Why is this episode so loved? Boring, pointless and never really explores the extreme issues of basically forcing someone to live a life against their will. You add in years of memories and that person is fit to command a starship after that? I also have issues with an episode like Hard Time for that very reason.

Plus I hated the aliens.

2. All Good Things

You end your series with a giant reset button episode? SERIOUSLY?? Talk about cheap story telling.

3. The Outcast

I don't think anyone likes this episode. But the fact that it's not considered the worst Star Trek episode in the history of the franchise makes it overrated. I'd rather watch the complete run of Voyager, Enterprise, Star Trek V, Nemesis, and Abrams Trek before ever having to suffer through this trainwreck again.

4. Family

Who cares? I know you wanted a slower episode after BOBW 2 but this is just junk. Picard's family is boring.

5. Unification

What a giant disappointment this was. You get Spock back. You get Denise Crosby back and you come up with this? Granted, this and Abrams Trek show that Leonard Nimoy is cancer to good Trek post Star Trek VI.
