1. Eagle transporter from Space 1999
2. Liberator from Blakes 7
3. Mk II Colonial Viper from BSG
Wasn't the millennium falcon in the background in First Contact? So would that count as a Star Trek ship? Or would the TOS Enterprise in the background of Battlestar Galactica count as a non star trek ship?
Where was the TOS Enterprise in Battlestar Galactica?
BTW you can see Voyager fly by the window in I think The Phantom Menace when they were on Coruscant.
There are probably better pictures but https://cdn3.whatculture.com/images/2020/09/1684bf97223fdeb6-600x338.jpg
I did not know that. Imagine that they did an easter egg in an old 70s scifi like that.
I know I've already posted three, but here are three runner up.
Battlestar Galactica (original)
Valley Forge (Silent Running)
Liberator (Blake's 7)
I'm absolutely loving there is so much love for Moya. That was unexpected but welcomed!
Enterprise and the TARDIS were in 1999 but Anderson spotted them and cut the shot. The TARDIS, an Eagle and Klingon are all in Red Dwarf.
Love the flying winnebego. Yay for Spaceballs
Just 3? Fine. In no particular order:
What's the bottom one?
Same here I'm wondering what that bottom one is from.
Also the rocket ship from "you only live twice" that's also one of my favourites
My next three
Imperial Star Destroyer
I wish there was a vote for Talyn though. I mean that was a tough little ship and sacrificed itself for the greater good.
Yeah Talyn was cool. I love the concept of living ships
it's the Orbit Jet (replaced later by the identical Silver Moon) from early 50's tv show Rocky Jones: Space Ranger. The FX were the best of that time when it comes to sci-fi on tv, and frankly it's a shame that it's been forgotten. The model work and ship sets were easily the best of it's contemporaries and it was eventually cancelled due to how expensive it was. The Orbit Jet always seemed like a cozy ship to travel in.
Nice choices. If only Thunderbird 2 had gone to space....
May I also pick my next 3 or runner up list? There's just too much to choose from.
For me ....
Galactica - "The Bucket", from Ron Moore's 2004 reinterpretation of BSG
Rocinante - The Expanse
Starfury - Babylon 5
Mark II Colonial Viper - BSG 2004
White Star - Babylon 5
Raptor - BSG 2004
