The only barely known one on Marvel's side is the Thing. Quite a bit of favortism going on in the lists.
Since when is the Thing "barely known?
That was my point. Of the ones listed for Marvel, the Thing is the only one that's close to being barely known. Especially by the general public. Doubly so when compared to even other members of the Fantastic Four such as the Human Torch or Mr. Fantastic (both of which I think should top the list over him).

This list was voted on by people predisposed to reading comic books. If it was voted on by the general public, both MM and Nightwing would likely be replaced by Captain Marvel and Aquaman.

Oracle could remain, in the context that she's identified as Batgirl. Tim Drake is Robin, so there should be no controversy there.

Yeah, these sorts of things are inevitably going to have sample bias. In this case, this poll can only take into account the opinions of the type of person who visits that blog, and of those people, only the type who chooses to answer the poll.

Even coming from a comic book reading audience, I find the Martian Manhunter's inclusion surprising. He's almost never been able to carry his own book. If he hadn't been a JLA founder, he'd almost certainly be a minor character in comics history by now.

8. Silicone Valerie

I normally stick to DC and Marvel superheroes and rarely see anything outside (which I understand is limiting) but with a name like that, I really had to check her out.

Seems you made a typo!!:scream:

Yeah, Silicon, no "e". There's the irony. Silicon Valerie is the only "average/nerdy" looking girl from the Danger Girl comics, a book which exists (IMO) purely to draw women in (even tighter than the comic book norm) spandex pin up poses; then throw the tiniest bit of plot around it.
