Too early to plan for Halloween?

Because my friends and I have started thinking about it! Halloween is our absolute favorite holiday, and we always go all out.

This year we have decided to go as the Thundercats! Some of you may recall my best friend and I as He-Man and Prince Adam from a few years back (and if not, here's the proof):

I'm a lot more buff these days than I was back then, so I think it will be awesome. My friend...he's a little fatter, but we decided he can be Mum'Ra, so it won't matter how buff he is because he'll be covered in bandages. :p

I'm pumped.

^^^^Right on cue!

I love Halloween too, but I'd say it's a bit too early, yeah. To each his own, however.

Those costumes are, uh... interesting, though. :vulcan: I'm curious as to why the underwear (or short-shorts, or whatever they are) seems so feathery.

Never too early to plan! I have no idea what I'm going to go as this year. Maybe Batgirl again? I feel like doing something totally different than usual.

Whatever happens - Comic Con, Halloween etc - nobody ever dresses up as Ms. Marvel. This makes Hermiod sad. :(

I wish we took Halloween more serious in this country  Not enough people around me that enjoys dressing up.

Seriously? Some people have been putting up Halloween lights for some time now.

The evidence for He-Man is really stacking up ... ;)

In pastel colours too...

It's never too early for Halloween planning. This year I'm trying to decide between Cheerleader Buffy and Siobhan from Shakespeare's Sister (in the spangly thing she wears in the video for "Stay" )

I think it all depends on how much you plan to celebrate Halloween. Renting out a pavilion or a room for a big party, or planning an elaborate haunted house for the neighborhood probably requires at least three months... If you simply plan to find a costume and go out with friends around the neighborhood and hit the pubs, it's too early unless you want a popular or rare costume that would be sold out or all rented out long before Halloween.

Then Hermiod should dress up as Ms. Marvel. :bolian:

It's never too early to plan. I've already bought my costume, and it's going to be delivered in about a week or 2.

To space out the costs (and make sure I get everything I need before the late Sept/ October rush when places run out), I'm going to wait 'till next month to buy my wig and prop.

Going as TOS Nurse Chapel this year.

The other reason to start planning early is if you're making or "collecting" your costume. I've never purchased a costume from a store, and if you wait til the last minute you end up with a lame, half-assed costume.

My friends and I are all going as secondary characters from Twin Peaks. At the moment, we're in a 5-way Mexican stand-off over who gets to be the Log Lady. I'm considering going as Laura Palmer in the pilot episode...
