No. They mean Tom. If you don't know, do a quick wiki search for details. Normally, I'd explain, but Tom Riker is a bit complicated. Last I seen him, he was hijacking the defiant on DS9. I could be wrong though.

I like Voyager because of the wonderful crew, but I most like Voyager because of Chakotay and J/C.

Another J/C fan here although it took me a while to hop on the bandwagon. I agree as much as I like Voyager for other reasons it's the J/C that keeps me coming back for more. The chemistry just wouldn't have bee the same with Tom Riker.

Leadhead, you may be under the impression Riker was to be captain of VOY from the Q ep Death Wish. Q mentions how he thought Riker was going to become captain of VOY, but I don't think it was actually offered to him and turned down, like the other three commands he spurned.

No it's definitly not just from that. I'm not talking about anything from on screen, i'm talking about behind the scenes rumors.

I seem to recall in a novel - it was an older one - that Voyager was on the list of ship's that Riker had been offered command of. I think it was Rogue Saucer.

Personally I liked Beltran's performance WHEN THEY GAVE HIM SOMETHING TO DO!

I think the advantage of having Tom Riker aboard is that the series would not have dismissed him as 1st officer and the rest of the crew would have been more involved
