I was to understand that the clothes Matt wore in his first "official" pic was his costume-until he talked to the Moff and asked to have it changed to what we now know and love.

No that would have never worked but at least he has something in common with Pat Troughton who also was considered to wear a pirate costume at first back in 1966.

Rao, I remember the pirate costume talk! I too actually thought Matt's first official pic was going to be his "look" and costume (I thought it was really cool) but glad they went the way they did.

Matt ias definitely more traditional than either of his two most recent predecessors.

Fair enough. Do you think she will have a good run in the Tardis? Will she get Amy and Rory's room once the Doctor redesigns it? She has to be near the console room in case the Doctor needs her.

^ It's too early to say. I haven't seen any of the shows she's been in but I understand that she was good in both Waterloo Road and Emmerdale.

But I think only a fool would try to predict how long she'll be in the TARDIS. I don't think anyone would have expected Catherine Tate to become such a popular companion; equally, I'm sure TPTB were surprised at how a section of fandom took a dislike to Martha. It's all gonna depend on how well written the character is, how good an actress Coleman is and how her chemistry with Smith is.

The average run of companions in nuWho seems to be about 2 seasons, so we can probably surmise that it'll be in or about that.

I want to see the swimming pool. I remember reading a novelisation from the 1970s which had the swimming pool (can't remember if it was Baker or Pertwee but I think Baker) and I've always wanted to see more of the swimming pool since!

The Invasion of Time featured the swimming pool, which was, by the time of the McCoy serial Paradise Towers, deleted from the tardis, but the Doctor put a new one in sometime before his most recent regeneration in The Eleventh Hour.

Hopefully they include a lot of Jenna's natural personality in her character. She seems like a very smart young lady.

I really don't see what Sally and Larry have in common with Amy and Rory, other than a vague resemblance between Larry and Rory. (Rory's much more of a hipster in his fashion choices than Larry, though.)
