To Whom Would You Give?

Do we look like Alistair Darling?
Does anyone actually look like Alistair Darling? Surely he dyes his eyebrows for effect.
Sam the Eagle from The Muppets? :vulcan:
When I was a kid I'd get the Sam the Eagle confused with Sam Waterson from Law and Order. They just fit into the same Gestalt for me. Once I was watching said drama with my friend and commented that ADA McCoy "looked like an eagle or a hawk," "A hawk of JUSTICE!" she replied enthusiastically.

Again, there are so many good causes out there, keep 'em coming! I actually rethought mine a bit. I'd still give the majority to PBS, but I think I might also study up on some of the promising type 1 diabetes cures out there, and help fund their research. This is strictly selfish, though.

Hey, I love Sam the eagle!

Can I give some of my money to Ronald McDonald house too.

My giving to heart and lung charities, I suppose, is motivated by selfish reasons, but I'd think it'd be more for other people because I doubt I'd be around to see anything come to fruition from it.

I would donate it to my church. There are several funds where it would go: for humanitarian aid and disaster relief, to support education and vocational training for people in countries with few opportunities, for local use in communities, etc. It's the only charity I know of where 100% of the donation would go to helping people and not be used for administration costs. In other words, if I donate $1000000 to the Perpetual Education fund, $1000000 will go out to help students.
