Here in Houston the cheapest way to get Trek books, and books in general, is the Library book sale. All the libraries in Harris County take older copies or books that not being checked out a lot and sell them to the public. You get the best price on Sunday when they hand out grocery store paper bags and tell you its ten dollars for as many books as you can fit into a bag without it busting and you get as many paper bags as you want.
Most of my Trek books in particular and other books in general have come from there. In fact they're having another one next week where I'm hoping to find Mission Gamma books three and four and the rest of the Vulcan's Soul trilogy. And maybe some of the newer SCE collections.
