Ohhhh...that doesn't sound very funThe thing my fourth grade teacher used to make us write over and over whenever the class got too loud.![]()
Love the fact you won't watch it, but love to discuss it.
Yes, posting and responding to posts, sounds suspiciously like a "discussion", doesn't it? Nothing to be ashamed of bro, lots of DSC fans love to watch the show and come here and discuss it. That's the reason there is a forum. And you realize I only come back here when one of you responds to one of my posts, right? Here's a thought: don't do that.
No one. I made the comment, someone responded, we exchanged, then I gave up and left and the only times I've been back since then is when someone like you couldn't let me stay gone and had to jump on the damn reply button. So who tagged you and brought you here for your initial comment, since that’s the only reason you’re here?![]()
QBASIC?
bad basic. maybe gwbasic, maby trs80 basic.QBASIC?
What continuity?Doctor Who doesn't have any of the original cast but is still in the same continuity.
No wonder the reveal was so goddamn stupid. They ruined a great character with excellent narrative potential by making him a one-note Space Trump. His IQ went down by at least 20 points during his final episode, too. *insert middle-finger emoji here*Jason Isaacs is on the record for saying not only did he, but not even the writers knew what Lorca's "dark secret" was until the very episode they came up with the reveal. They knew he had one. Just not which one.
Not to be mean or anything, but that and their piss-poor managing style did actually come back to bite them very badly in their arse's.Lorca: an character with the potential to be excellent, pissed away by amateurish writers with no idea where they were going or what they were doing.
Really though, if not for the "canon violation!" posts and the ones that read a lot like "I don't like your marinara because you don't make it exactly the same way my grandparent did," I don't think there'd be much discussion around here at all.Yes, posting and responding to posts, sounds suspiciously like a "discussion", doesn't it? Some DSC fans love to discuss what they like about the show and other fans prefer discussing what they don't like about the show. But we're all fans, of one sort or another, and we love posting about the show, reading responses to those posts, and then answering those responses in kind. It's a whole thing.![]()
Doesn't that kinda-sorta drift into the pot calling the kettle black territory?Good, so peace and quiet.

Oh...Indeed it does. But we can't just take it while the series is trashed.
Heh ... Eye's jest funnin' with ya.Forum 101: Someone comes in and bashes a series and posters who are fans of the series counter back.
If I posted in the ENT Forum, bashing everything about it, I would expect the posters of the forum to stick up for it. If they didn't, if they just rolled over and said, "Yeah, I agree with you, this series sucks!" then that would be the surprise. Not the other way around. I'd be like, "What the Hell? Why are you all agreeing with me? You're supposed to be telling me why I'm wrong!" I would expect a push-back.
Same thing here.

IMO, Events from "ENTERPRISE" (and "First Contact") are the most logical reasons that establish a precedent to believe that the Prime Timeline has been altered just enough to account for all of the changes we are seeing in DISCOVERY. (and any future Trek shows/movies)I've been rewatching Enterprise. It's helping me to appreciate Discovery more.
