Darn, I can't seem to find it for sale anymore (Immortal Coil that is). Pity, would have like to read it.

There are plenty of used copies available from Amazon, Alibris, and other online book vendors. Or you could try your local library.

Re: TNG: The Persistence of Memory by David Mack Review Thread (Spoile

^Have you tried your local library?

I'm from the Netherlands, so while our libraries will have English sections, you won't find Star Trek in it I'm afraid.

^I just edited my post to include used-book links from Amazon and Alibris. Not sure if you can get those in the Netherlands.

I'll browse through those links. Thanks Christopher!

Re: TNG: The Persistence of Memory by David Mack Review Thread (Spoile

It was my idea. I had some ideas for the first book of the Cold Equations trilogy, and while doing research I discovered lots of similar ground had been covered by Immortal Coil. So I read that book and realized I could rework my trilogy proposal as a sequel to that tale. Later, I saw the possibility to expand the concept to build the entire trilogy off that premise. My editors were dubious of the proposal, but I eventually sold them on it.

Going to look for a copy of Immortal Copy myself once I get my hands on the first book since I'm actually behind on reading lately. Still reading The Eternal Tide then onto Brinkmanship, so yeah I'm waiting til all 3 books are out and can read them all together instead waiting for so long.

Re: TNG: The Persistence of Memory by David Mack Review Thread (Spoile

^"Immortal Copy?" Is that like "deathless prose?" ;)

Re: TNG: The Persistence of Memory by David Mack Review Thread (Spoile

Immortal Coil is avaiable as an e-book for both the Nook and the Kindle. If you don't have an e-reader both versions can be read on tablets or computers.

Re: TNG: The Persistence of Memory by David Mack Review Thread (Spoile

It's also available as an ePub with Adobe DRM on independent resellers like Kobo and many others if you don't want to buy into the Nook or Kindle ecosystems (I happen to like Kobo because they offer PayPal as payment option).

That said it's been pretty well-established that Mage isn't too fond of ebooks :).

David Mack is an evil genius. Jeffrey Lang's going to owe him dinner or something after all these new royalties that will be coming in. :p

Rereading Immortal Coil now. Forgot how solid a novel it was. :techman:

Agreed, the novel is very good so far (only 20% done according to my kindle).

Did Jeff Lang have any other input on the books beside the novel Dave?

I'm currently reading through Coil now for the first time and I have to agree.

Re: TNG: The Persistence of Memory by David Mack Review Thread (Spoile

Not yet on the shelf at local B+N.

Re: TNG: The Persistence of Memory by David Mack Review Thread (Spoile

Mine is shipping, apparently, so I should have it soon enough. Good; I'm going through a rough patch at the moment and this will be something to look forward to.

Re: TNG: The Persistence of Memory by David Mack Review Thread (Spoile

Just ordered it!! I'll probably won't be able to read Immortal Coil before this, but oh well. It's Mack, it's part one of a Trilogy.... I'll be happy.

Re: TNG: The Persistence of Memory by David Mack Review Thread (Spoile

Damn, shipping is pretty high. I'm not paying 12 pounds shipping costs for a novel that's less then a pound.
Still, thanks for the tips!!
