Good Day Everyone, My name is Kayla.

I am a very resent Trek Fan and I have to say it is my fav Addiction. My father and Mother were always Very big fans of TNG and they named my two childhood cats Captin Jean-Luc Picard and Q, sadly they have both past but none the less. Recently in school we have been watching some of the origanl Star Treks in comparison to some of the books that we are reading, my father and I have also started watching Star Trek 2.0 on G4. This was the begining of my obsession. I have been know to create a new Obsession every month and this month it is Star Trek and I could not be happier.

Anway, I am most entrested in TNG and my fav. Charictor would by far be, Dr. Beverly Crusher, AND, Captian Jean-Luc Picard, Who is what pulled me in in the first place.

I am very excited to have met you all and found a place to talk about my new obsession. Hope to meet many of you. and I Leave This Pic

Well, I'm pretty clearly the oldest one on this thread. :-)

I grew up on TOS but enjoyed later series as well. I once wrote a fangirl song for Jean-Luc Picard which was included in TV Guide’s Collector’s Edition: FAREWELL TO STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION in 1994. My music group, Urban Tapestry, performs the songs at science fiction and filk conventions and it’s on our most recent CD.

Here’s an MP3 sample of us performing the song in concert. The audience laughter is mainly because I'm doing goofy things with props. :-)

I don't think you're the oldest, Inkygirl.
In my 20s I loved TOS so much that when the Next Generation started, I refused to watch it. I couldn't believe that it could possibly compare with TOS.
My son kept telling me it was good, but I thought "Without Spock, McCoy and Kirk? What?"
Then the Generations film came out, and,of course, the characters from both TOS and TNG were in that film, and this sparked my interest in TNG.
So, the next time TNG was rerun in the UK I watched it all from the beginning.
By the time of the end of the first season's reruns I had fallen in love with TNG (Even despite the devastating demise of my darling Tasha,) and, I think that in the end I came to love it more than the original series, and that's saying something.
I like Voyager, too, but I couldn't get into DS9. Somehow, the characters didn't seem to be so interesting.
TNG is being rerun right now in England, and I'm loving it again.
I've never read any Trek fiction but I'd be interested in what's available with TNG characters.

Hello, I'm Kira and I am a 23 year old freelance graphic designer from Seattle. I just recently started getting into Trek, and so far out of everything I've watched ( DS9, ENT, and TNG ) TNG is by far my favorite. In regards to characters my vfavorite ones are of course Jean Luc and Data, and my least favorite ones would have to be Miles O'Brien and his nagging sappy wife whom I cannot stand.

Out of favorite episodes there are a few but most memorable are ( sorry I don't memorize the names ) the one where everyone aboard the Enterprise catches a virus from another Starfleet starship and gets very horny. This is the episode where Piccard corners Beverley Crusher and starts hitting on her. ANother funny one I love is where he turns to Wesley as he's giving him some advice and with the most serious face on the planet says "Shut Up Wesley !" hahaha love that.

 Another Keiko hater! We're gonna be friends. Welcome to the board.

Ages ago SFX did a poll of the worst things to happen to sci-fi. I believe that Bonnie Langford and Keiko O'Brien topped the poll!

I'm 31 years old, studying computer science. I've always been a science-fiction fan but I haven't been that huge Star Trek fan. I've watched the Star Wars movies more times than I can count and I've seen every episode and every movie of the Babylon 5 series which I enjoyed very much. Up until this summer I had only watched Star Trek on the TV, and since it's hard to coordinate your life so that you can see every episode when it's on TV, I had only seen I'd say about 10% of all TNG episodes, 5% of all TOS episodes, 3% of all VOY episodes and maybe 2% of all DS9 episodes.

But at the end of the summer I decided I needed to see all Star Trek episodes, except for TOS (which I don't particularly enjoy). So I acquired all ST:TNG episodes and I've been watching it from the beginning. Now I'm on season 6 episode 20 (The Chase) and I estimate I will have finished TNG episodes within two or three weeks. Then I'll watch TNG movies and after that I'll figure out which season I should see next -- DS9 or VOY.

So I'm pretty much a newbie. But I do love Star Trek and TNG is my favorite series. My favorite episodes, so far, I think are:

The Best of Both Worlds (I and II)
The Inner Light
Data's Day

I'm also trying to find out who plays ensign helmethead which is something I'm discussing in a thread parallel to this one. :)

Hello All! I'm new here, the name is Brittaney, I'm 17 and I'm from Michigan.
I discovered TNG this summer while working in Illinois and not having anything to do all day but sit around and watch TV. I watch it most nights and I have yet to see a full TOS or DS9 episode. I haven't even seen even part of an episode of the other series. I thought it funny that most people that I encounter while reading fanfiction started off reading ST and then moved on to other things, and I'm the exact opposite. I mainly ship P/C and R/T though there are a few others that I enjoy somewhat. As for my favourite episode, I really don't know. I'd have to say my top three are : The Naked Now, The Inner Light, and Attatched. I like all the main characters but I'd say that Picard or Riker or Data is my favourite. I love Q too. Thanks for listening I guess. (Hope I didn't frighten you people away)...

Hi, another all new guy here. I'm Hugo from Belgium (I live about 20 kilometers east of Brussels), I'm 43 and ST fan since, oh I don't know anymore. I guess I was about 7 or 8 years old when I saw my first episode. And I loved it. When TNG came on the Dutch speaking tv in Holland, I was completely hooked. I watch as many episodes as I can, I don't care if it is TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, movies, ... At this time there are replays on BBC2 of TOS an TNG every saturday. I try to see them all.
Furthermore I enjoy a good Sci-Fi book (Isaac Asimov, Jack Vance, ...) on the train from/to work (I almost never read at home).

My favorite characters are Picard, Beverly Crusher and the EMH. I quite like Malcolm Reed and Hoshi Sato too. I don't think I have a favorite episode of any of the series. The ones I like most though are those with time travel issues.

Hi, I'm brand new here. I LOVE Star Trek TNG and have since its original airing. I have all seven seasons on DVD and watch at least an episode a day. I love all the major characters except season 2 disaster Dr. Pulaski. I've 'transferred' from another Star Trek website because I couldn't stand the spammers ruining things for everyone else. You all seem like a nice bunch of people. I hope there's room for me on this board! :)

I am a Trekkie because of TNG. Altho I enjoyed Enterprise and DS9... TNG will always be special to me.

I should add that I'd follow Picard anywhere
As would I. Picard fits my ideals of a good leader and I could easily follow him. Which is odd, when I think about it, because I have a streak of problems with authority. But this streak never really pops up with good, fair leaders. Only with bad ones.

Good thing I was only in ROTC for six months. ;)

When I became tech support manager for my old job, I realized one day that I was using Captain Picards command style. To this day it was run most efficently during my two years running it. My people would do anything I asked and in return they got respect and recognition.

A few years after that I heard there is actually a book out about Picards command style. Never looked for it though.

I've read it twice cover-to-cover.

It actually helped me out on the job, because I worked in an office at an aerospace company. :)

Hello! :) I'm BRG. I've just arrived here.

I love all Star Trek series, but TNG is by a mile my fav, always has been, and probably always will be.
I've recently bought all 7 season on DVD, and I have fell in love with the show again like I first did all those years ago.

Fav characters- Picard, Data & Worf.

Fav episodes- 3 from each season.
Season 1- Datalore, The Battle, Where No One Has Gone Before.
Season 2- Q Who, The Emissary, The Measure of a Man.
Season 3- Yesterday's Enterprise, Best of Both Worlds, Hollow Persuits.
Season 4- Best of Both Worlds pt2, Reunion, First Contact.
Season 5- Darmok, The Inner Light, Power Play.
Season 6- Tapestry, Starship Mine, Face of the Enemy.
Season 7- All Good Things, Parallels, Lower Decks.

And although I've never been a huge fan of Trek films, I think First Contact is by far the best of the 10 films, an excellent film.
