TNG era survey ship, need help with a name!

The USS Cox
Modern day, A ship's crew are known to come up with cute little nicknames their ship, based upon a ship's official name.

In a starfleet with tens of thousands of named ships, a "lesser" ship might have to settle. How about "buttercup?"

.

How about:
U.S.S. Bonaventure
U.S.S. Discovery
U.S.S. Ramirez
(after the Captain of the Intrepid, seeing as the ships share a similar look)
U.S.S. T'Plana-Hath
U.S.S. Wayfarer

USS Wendt :D

U.S.S. CANTEEN

Because it reminds me both of a dinner plate (which is used in a Canteen) and a canteen (which holds water).

It also kinda-sorta looks like the old mess kit's the army used to hand out to the GI's.

I was going to call it the USS Bathtubstopper, but Soran77 said he already picked a name. And based on the size of the docking ports and the bridge module, this ship is smaller than the Defiant.
