TNG Complete DVDs

Having just finished my undergraduate degree and won a few awards, plus gifts, I'm looking to blow some cash, and since I've got scholarships, the traditional way to blow cash, grad school, isn't an option at the moment. I was looking at the complete TNG DVDs, what with that being probably my favourite Trek.

Looking at the Amazon reviews, there seem to be a lot of complaints about the packaging. Is there anyone here who could offer opinions on that?

I guess we're talking about this one, right?

That's the one I bought a year ago. And although I have read about complaints about the packaging, too, I can't say that I ever had a problem with it. Maybe it looks a little cheap (since the single disc holders are held together with simple adhesive tape), but I can assure you that it is actually quite practicable. You can find a specific DVD rather quickly, whereas with the single season boxes you'll need a little longer.

However, those are just my two cents. :)

Congratulations on your accomplishments, as well as your well-earned treat. I like the overall green of the new set.

Are all the seasons green though, or just the one pictured? Because the old sets had a nice color coding to them.

I would say I wish I had waited and gotten the complete series, but I got most of the TNG seasons for 29 bucks from Blockbuster due to a glitch in their pricing systems at the time. Makes me groan for remembering I paid about 450 bucks for all 7 Seasons of DS9 right after Season 7 came out.

For what it's worth, you can usually find the complete set used for about $150-$175 online.
