TNG Charity drive?

Hi all, first post here... I'm hoping you can help me find something. This drives me crazy every few years and it's doing it again...

Back in the early-mid 90's the TNG cast did a half-hour or so charity drive in full uniform, using the paramount sets, etc. They treated it like an episode of the show, talking about the charity in character... The two main things I remember about it were the t-shirts you'd get if you donated a certain amount... They talked about the shirt's "50/50 poly-cotton blend" continually, and there was a recurring joke about how polyester was banned by the Federation because it breaks down in transporters and wreaks havok with the systems.

I can't remember the actual charity, and I've never been able to find any reference to it or a video of it. Does anyone else remember this by chance??

I'd love to find it again!

I think I know which video you are talking about. It was actually posted here a few years ago, but I can't seem to find it on Youtube.

The video I saw features the TNG cast (minus Patrick Stewart) in the ready room, discussing the charity. They watch a recording on a VHS tape, and when Whoopi Goldberg appears they comment that she bears a "striking resemblance to Guinan".

Another thing I remember from the video, is that Data keeps pronouncing Whoopi as "who pie"

Does anyone here have a link to that video?

You're welcome.

I've always liked this sketch for Worf's "Whoo Pie? What kind of a name is Whoo Pie?" line. Dorn's odd delivery of it always cracks me up.

Holy chit . I actually remember seeing that 'live', back in the day.

That's it! You guys came through. :) I remember it being alot longer, but maybe I'm combining the whole drive in my mind.

I've been looking for that for years... Thanks a ton!!!

Wow, I've never seen that before. What a treat to see a little bit of "new" TNG after all these years. :)

That was FUNNY i really liked the polyester part, but god forbid it is ever banned
