No spoilers but I am about a half way through. Loving all the political stuff - the stakes feel really high and are rising with every interlude. The mystery of the week element is fine, but I am finding myself googling who a lot of the new Enterprise characters are as someone who does not read every Next Gen book, so I would have liked a bit more of an overview of who they all are. I suppose that is what Google is for though!

Recapping gets to be a lot boring and wastes words. You just need to go get the other Next Gen books you've not read and read them. They are available as eBooks if you cannot get then as pBooks (if that's your preferred format).

Can we please stop with the "My copy has not yet arrived" posts in review threads? They don't have any use and are just a waste of time having to go past them. Thanks.

@JWolf , can you please stop telling people what to do. If people want to post their copy hasn't arrived yet, they can - it's a way of sharing the excitement of waiting for a new book. And we can't all afford either the money or the time to read every book in order.

I enjoyed this novel a lot and voted "outstanding". Solid TNG plot, loved the Nejamri and the "uploading people" thing, which I believe hasn't really been done in this way before in Trek. (The closest thing I can think of would be "Our Man Bashir"). I think the Nejamri may be the most interesting species we have seen in the Odyssean Pass. The occasionaly glimpses of the ongoing investigations on Earth were even more interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing more of that in Collateral Damage. Generally, I think Ward's TNG novels have greatly improved since Paths of Disharmony.
