TMP through TUC now on Netflix Instant Watch!

Good news Everyone!

If you've got Netflix, The Motion Picture, The Wrath of Khan, The Search For Spock, The Voyage Home, The Final Frontier, The Undiscovered Country and First Contact are able to stream over the internet! Trek XI too!

Looking forward to the weekend, I smell a Trek movie Marathon coming...

Thought you guys would wanna know!

Great catch. I had never bothered looking up the Trek movies to see if they were available for streaming. To think I didn't expect it possible to love Netflix even more than I already did...

Now if they only made some of the series on-demand so I didn't have to order them one disk at a time...

They used to with the first season of TOS, I think...but since CBS and other sites have them officially streaming (although with ads) I think it was removed.


The Movie picture quality BTW is about as good as the blu-rays if you're streaming in HD (I'm pretty sure it's the same transfer). However TMP does have a few issues, mainly they forgot to subtitle the alien dialogue near the beginning, and they edited out the Illia's theme overture.

The Undiscovered Country is the original theatrical cut, and it, too, is lacking subtitles. I have to imagine that some scenes would be somewhat confusing without them.

My husband has decided to watch them now that they are on the Roku box. He asked why Generations wasn't included, as First Contact is also streaming. I said, 'because they kill Kirk!'

III was a little better than I remembered, but TMP is still so dang slow and V is just too much. He's watching Insurrection now and has Nemesis coming from his disc queue, too. Eh.

For some reason, trying to watch V crashes my Blu-Ray player (LG BD300) - never had any other streaming title do that.
