TMP Copyright

The copyright at the end of TMP does not list Paramount Pictures, but Century Associates, as the copyright holder. All of the other films list Paramount Pictures. Any idea why this is, or what Century Associates is/was?

Not sure. The only other film that company is credited under on IMDB is Starting Over, another Paramount Release from 1979. Some kind of shell corporation?

Most likely, and one that was eventually dissolved by Paramount a long time ago, IMO. The current version of Century Associates is a real-estate development firm that has zero to do with the entertainment industry, so the name may have jumped to a different company over the years if it was no longer being used by Paramount in any fashion.

The film still lists Star Trek as being a trademark of Paramount Pictures, though, so the actual copyright may only extend to the movie in the same way it currently does with Paramount (with Star Trek now being a trademark of CBS).
