Titus Welliver, Zombie Hunter!

My hopes of seeing the best Lost alumni cast in good pilots this season are coming true! Titus Welliver in a zombie show, it doesn't get better than that. (Ignore the part about it being on the CW.)

Titus Welliver is set to star in the CW's zombie thriller Awakening. The project is about two sisters, Jenna (Lucy Griffiths) and Jayce (Meredith Hagner), coming of age and facing off against one another amidst the beginning of a zombie uprising. Welliver will play The Hunter, a middle-aged man with silver hair and piercing eyes who is from a family of legendary Zombie Hunters.

Not saying that means it won't be good, but, it will most likely be aimed at the Vampire Diaries and Smallville audience, so it'll probably focus more on "teen angst" then gritty reality.

I don't think "thoughtful and intelligent" is the style they're going for, but I'm hoping for "crazy and fun." They won't really be in competition anyway: the CW vs AMC audiences are very different.

Isn't Welliver too old to be on a CW show?

The audience might confuse him with the zombies - old, decrepit, falling apart...
