No DVD. No VHS. Sometimes, even syndication is spotty or non-existent. These are the truly lost titles, the ones that make other people look at you and wonder about either your memory or your sanity. Here goes :

Popeye Meets The Man Who Hated Laughter - Flash Gordon, Mandrake, Lothar and The Phantom join forces. Sound at all familiar? But in this case, the innocents they must rescue are threatened not by Ming, but by a mad scientist who has kidnapped Popeye (Olive's whining lost him his spinach), Dagwood+Blondie, Hi+Lois, Snuffy Smith and a host of other funny paper favorites. Worth it for the sheer kick factor. (Though its been a seriously long time since for me)

Porky and Daffy meet The Groovie Goolies - If you want to know the whys and wherefores of 70's Kids TV, this is it. The weirdest segment can be viewed on YouTube under 'Mad Mirror Land'.

Lastly, AfterMASH - yeah, yeah, yeah. I've heard it all. Release it anyway.

:Plays the "Song of the South" card:

Disney has completely disowned the exsistance of this movie.

Other than using a song from it as their company's "theme" for a number of years.

Moontrap. Walter Koenig + Bruce Campbell + aliens on the moon. What's not to love?

"Journey to the Far Side of the Sun"

There is a DVD and was a VHS release but they are either very expensive or no longer produced.

"The Brady Bunch Variety Hour"

I LOVE 70's camp and kitsch and I LOVED this trainwreck when it aired originally.

Fake Jan can be CGI'd over, however.

Ed. It's one of my favorite tv shows. I don't know if it's the music rights or something to do with Viacom/Paramount messing around.

A 1955 movie called "Unchained" which got priase and I think even won an award. It's got a score by Alex North, which is where the "Unchained Melody" song originated (North did the music).

In fact, the story of that song is fascinating in of itself.

I may be wrong, but "1984" with John Hurt is not available.
Also "Countdown", directed by Altman, starring James Caan, also unavailable.
WTF?

I wish P'mount would issue the first version of "Where No Man Has Gone Before" with the different music and a handful of different edits.

Love those blocky letters and the whole "Act I" to "Act IV" plus the Epilogue. Very Quinn Martin of them. I'm really surprised this hasn't already been put out as some sort of DVD extra or something, but I've never seen an official release.

Daria (cant we destroy the RIAA so this can be put on DVD)
The Star Wars Christmas Special- Wookie Pr0n and all
Sam & Max-WHY is this not out on dvd

I would really like the series Secret Adventures of Jules Verne to be released. Michael Praed of Robin Hood starred, and sadly, the show only lasted one season. I enjoy the whole steampunk genre. But I don't think it'll ever come out...:(

Ed. It's one of my favorite tv shows. I don't know if it's the music rights or something to do with Viacom/Paramount messing around.

I've caught a few episodes of it on the Hallmark Channel here in Romania and it's not bad actually.

Another show that hasn't gotten any kind of release as far as I know is John Doe. It would have been nice to see a DVD release with interviews to explain where they were going to go with the show.
