Spoilers Title, airdate and synopsis of episode 10

Yeah mine too. I'm expecting ep9 to end with a mirror universe reveal

I hope so. Even if it isn't the MU, I hope the episode ends with with some sort of hint of what it is and not make us wait.

But being a mid season break, they probably will. Need some sort of lure to bring people back in January.

Does it reflect well on us (that is, the fandom, collectively) or poorly on the production that we appear to be able to figure out such specific plot points so far in advance?

Frakes had already leaked that there would be a mirror universe episode.

I suppose, but the discussion for episode 8 hit concluded pretty quickly that episode 10 would be almost exactly as the synopsis described. That's very accurate speculation.

I'd like to think we have, individually, encyclopedia-like knowledge of the Trek universe and we see the dots connected easily. I'd like to think this.

CBS has announced the airing date of the second chapter of the premiere season of the show. Note that there are spoilers...

I’m going to guess that the Discovery is thrown 300 years into the future because of Stamets and the spore drive. (Just want to bet on something different than mirror universe lol)

Do we think it's going to be the Mirror Universe, or just some other universe or reality?

I don't see how it could be the same place we've seen in the other shows without violating the TOS canon on the subject. Seems like something Kirk, and all other senior commanders, would have been briefed on.

Not if the incident was classified with the spore drive

Or if the incident isn’t repeatable there would really be no need to brief anyone on it if they don’t think it will happen again.

I think most people just assumed it was an 'U' at a weird angle, or didn't notice.

But compared with the actual USS Discovery plaque seen in later episodes there are clear differences outside of the 'I'.

After that photo was released (in Variety I believe) there was an article with speculations about the Discovery’s Mirror universe in TrekCore and of course thread(s) here in Trekbbs.

I'm wondering if L'Rell will end up on Discovery while it's stranded in the Mirror Universe. It would make for a much more interesting mini-arc if "enemies" have to work together.
