Spoilers Titans - DC Universe Series

^^
Do you seriously expect an answer when you already frame the question in the form of a rant?

I don't expect an answer from someone who loves everything and would probably praise the show even if Robin skull fucked Raven to death. I'm hoping someone enters the thread who has a critical eye toward the show and answers the question.

Besides, I pretty much know the answer. The answer is that the people running the show are assholes and don't even realize that Starfire is an alien and not a serial killer, so why would they understand the concept of Hawk & Dove? They won't even look at the wikipedia articles for the main Titans, so why would they do so for H&D? Some corporate person told them to use Hawk & Dove, so they did a google image search for the costumes, found the names, and that is obviously all the similarities between the characters.

I'm just curious if some writer slipped a line past the brain dead jellyfish who produce the show trying to explain why Dove is more violent then the Azrael version of Batman.

But, actually, I can probably just get another free trial of DCU using another email or something and get the answer myself, if I want to suffer through bits of an episode of the worst DC based show ever made trying to find a single line justifying this particular crappiness.

Why are you so angry that people enjoy things you don't?

I generally don't have a problem with people liking stuff that I don't, although I might actually make an exception for Titans, because it is legitimately offensive. It is made for angry 13 year old boys who have never read a comic or watched a DC show in their life (and made by them, from what I can tell) and I honestly do think worse of people who like it, and I don't even say that about fans of Zach Snyder's DC work. It is offensive on pretty much every level, so having people defend it is really just fucked up and actually does make me fairly pissed.

They turned the Titans into monsters, serial killers, and have perverted the entire concept of characters, yet the same fans of literally everything DC does still defend it just like they do every shit thing DC puts out. Shit like this is why Transformers took, what, 7 movies to finally start burning out? Seeing Titans is how old school transformers or TMNT fans must have felt watching the Bay movies, except so much worse.

You really need to chill out.

Bruce had a voice cameo in the first episode as well (in a flashback), also no clue who did the voice.

Hmm, I guess maybe they want to avoid recognizable voices in case they cast the roles for onscreen appearances later (like how Heroes had Maurice LaMarche do Sylar's voice before they cast Zachary Quinto). Still, they should credit the voice actors.

Your recent outbursts of bile here and in the Legends thread speak to the contrary...

God forbid someone doesn't like something, especially in threads that just hate opposing opinions, like most TV show threads that just want people to post the same (positive) opinions over and over and brook no criticism.

Over-the-top hyperbolic negativity isn't criticism.

I think we just hit peak irony.

If you're trying to take a dig at me over my previous comments regarding Legends of Tomorrow, there's a significant difference between my reaction(s) and yours: I gave actual reasons as to why I reacted the way that I did, whereas you just come in and type your OTT negativity without any explanations whatsoever.

Alfred has a voice cameo on the phone, and Dawn wears a House of El shirt. ;)
Who's Dawn?

Yeah, as much as I might disagree with you at times, you at least state your opinions in a civilized manner, with real evidence to support them.

Except you (and several others) think anyone who disagrees with you is "uncivilized", so

Also, I'm pretty sure my opinion on Dove had more then enough facts and real evidence. Neither Dove is supposed to fucking maul people, fact. Dove is supposed to be very peaceful, to act as a counterpart to the violent Hawk, fact. The Titans Dove is extremely fucking violent, also a fact.

But, to be fair, no one has argued against what I've said about that, all the Titans "fans" clam up really good when I mention Dove, almost like they can't admit when the show does something outrageously bad (although I knew that by the fact that some people won't admit that the Starfire is no more Starfire then she is, I don't know, Iron Man or Supergirl).
