Spoilers Titans - DC Universe Series

Shoplifting? Nah, he probably just held up some people and then paid for it... :D

Well, he literally did that the first time he saved someone in Geoff Johns' shitty New 52 stuff, so honestly its the most likely explanation.

What happened? I'm not familiar with the incident.

Well it wasn't quite a robbery, but it was shitty and unheroic. It went like this

It was basically his first time out as Shazam. A woman is in trouble (it was either a robbery or almost getting hit by a car, something like that, its been awhile and I don't want to reread it). Shazam saves her, and then gets her to pay him as a "reward" (she was surprised that he'd ask, its not like she volunteered to pay him).. He uses the money to actually buy soda I think, and (as a bonus) at some point Freddy talks about using his Shazam form to go buy beer, but they'd already used the money for other stuff.

Is this normal for a shitty teen? Maybe. Its literally the exact opposite of what Billy is supposed to be. He's never supposed to be a super "realistic" teen, he's picked to become Captain marvel because, unlike others in his situation (a homeless orphan), he's a (mostly) honest person with a heart of gold. Him not acting like the average angsty, shitty teen was the whole point. That doesn't mean he isn't flawed (Jerry Ordway did it perfectly in the Power of Shazam series in the 90s, where Billy was a good person but with flaws that didn't make him a shithead like the New 52 version).

Thanks for the clarification. Not having read the comics, I can't definitively comment.

This looks like a very semi-pro cosplay group got together, filmed their fan fiction and are using Final Cut Pro to edit and add F/X. That's not to say it looks bad, it just doesn't scream "Pay into another subscription service" to watch this.

I don't have cable. I choose not to subsidize hundreds of channels I have no interest in watching.
I'm not going to subscribe to multiple pay services for content.
I pay for Netflix and Amazon Prime. I was given a $25 Hulu gift card I plan to use for Runaways and anything else. If any of these DC shows find their way there, great, otherwise I'm not seeking these out.

Given that this is a superhero show, they kind of do. I don't think anyone would be interested in a show about Dick Grayson, insurance salesman.

Dick Grayson: Insurance salesman by day, serial killer with a potty mouth and a cosplay obsession by night

In sadly unsurprising news, Anna Diop has disabled comments on her instagram account after a torrent of racist abuse.

That's fucked up. Even if a character is shit (and Starfire definitely seems to be that, especially with her Hooker costume that is apparently her main clothes because its on display at SDCC and the fact that she doesn;t have orange skin), its not the actresses fault, and obviously nothing justifies racist shit or abuse like that in general. I swear, even as a fairly angry nerd at times I will never understand people who do shit like that.

"Hooker costume" really?

That's quite ambiguous. Whose reaction do you mean?

Audiences.

Look at the dislikes:

And if you search YT for other hosts of the trailer the dislike ratio is heavy as well.

Yikes.

I'm not surprised there's so much backlash.
