Titan Books publishing?

Not sure if this has been addressed, but was wondering if the Titan Books publishing imprint is considered as one of the official publishers for Star Trek Literature.

Saw a notice on Amazon for Star Trek Prometheus- Fire with Fire on a pre-sale.

Is this book sanctioned by Paramount for Star Trek or is it not.

Star Trek Prometheus first came out in Germany last as a miniseries for Star Treks 50th anniversary. Titan won the publishing rights to publish the English translation of the books. Keith Decandido worked on the English Transaltion of the books. They're also publishing 2 new Star Trek Beyond movie themed books coming out later this year.

Since Titan publishes the official Star Trek Magazine and put out a book about Star Trek Beyond last year I think it would be one of the official publishers of Star Trek Literature. They're going to be publishing 2 new Star Trek Byond books one about the Movie art and one about the makeup and behind scenes making of the costume s and other stuff by Jeff Bond.

Titan Books still go through some kind of agreement with the otherwise-exclusive licensee Simon & Schuster, and CBS Licensing are involved. The new Juan Ortiz artbook for TNG came out last week from Titan UK (and sold in Australia!) but it doesn't come to a Pocket/Gallery US release until September.

Titan has a long history of publishing Trek. They had the licence to reprint the Pocket Books TOS and TNG books from the 1980s to about...1993? And of course, Star Trek Monthly (still printing 22 years later, albeit merged with the US mag) began in 1995. I am sure nothing they do is unofficial or unlicensed.

Sold by: Penguin Random House Publisher Services
My understanding is that Random House handles Titan's distribution (similar to how Simon & Schuster does the print distribution for Baen and Games Workshop).
