Been a while since I've posted here, but I recently started a new project and I thought you might like to know

Micro Machines of Trek. Looks great. Question though, what is the segmented pie pieces behind the bridge area?

Nice! But I sure wouldn't want to be billeted in cabins on the aft section of the hull... looks like they're getting mighty toasty from the radiation emitted by the warp nacelles.

Here's another great possibility for re-imagining what the NX-01 Enterprise could've looked like!

Great ship!

Love that saucer-ette.

The only thing I don't think fits it is the tucked-in navigational deflector "cave". The should be rounded off with the dish sticking out.

Nice. I'd like to see a variant with slightly more retro features. It'd make a good stablemate to Vektor's Vanguard.

Questions:

1) What era is this? It looks like it's somewhere just post-Excelsior, but well before Ambassador. Yes/No/Maybe-so?

2) Actual mission? You're calling it an "explorer" but in Trek terms, that's usually used for a large ship intended to operate for loooong periods without support. This looks more like a survey ship (go out, do a quick loop through unexplored space, go back to base). The Galaxy was an Explorer (so, arguably, was the TOS Enterprise?). This strikes me more like the Grissom, though.

3) Approximate crew size? Looks like ~45 crew, at most, probably more like 30.

4) ANY armaments? I don't see any right now... and it seems likely that this ship couldn't be fit with torpedo tubes anyway. But I'd expect a couple of phaser banks (strips or TMP-style banks?) at some place on the hull.

Actually it's early tos / late ent

You're right, it is more like the oberth/nova. It can also be used as a small courier or support vessel.

Basic phasers, perhaps old style nx-01 torpedo thingamajigs

Very interesting! The overall concept and configuration appeals to me. This would have worked much better than the NoXiOus-1.

Seriously nice mesh, though i agree the nacelles are too close to the hull for this era of a ship.Remember the big 3 of warp propulsion.

I see no problem, there isn't anything blocking the nacelles or deflector dish. The defiant even had its nacelles straight to the hull.
