I think he'll be a former Time Lord Politician.

My guess is that he will be a villian. I predict that he will either have gone mad from losing Galifrey and the Time Lords or will be consumed by bitterness; with the Doctor trying to calm him down and The Master encouraging his dark ambitions.

I doubt he's the master - why would the master be wearing timelord garb and seal of rassilon. He's never worn that before in any of his appearances on the show.

If you're being sarcastic, then "Tee hee hee!".

If you're not being sarcastic, watch the Paul McGann TV Movie.

Well, with Dalton being so tall and big, i guess he has a really intimidating role towards The Doctor. An authority figure, possibly father or mentor or instructor of some sort.

Im guessing hes going to play a big part in Tens death. Even if he starts out as an ally/friend maybe it will twist at the very end where he kills Ten, or maybe Ten is forced to scrifice his life to make way for Eleven and save the universe, again.

His character is referred to as The Narrator. So maybe he doesn't actually meet the Doctor, he's just observing him from some undisclosed location, and has actually been hiding from him since the end of the Time War?

Another idea I've just had: He could be a descendant of the Doctor, or maybe even of Jenny, living sometime in the distant future.

Or maybe the last story is so complicated you need an actual narrator to be able to follow it.

I thought this thread could use some illustration. Here's a relatively recent picuture of Timothy Dalton. In respect of him being referred to as The Narrator, he has a distinctive voice, so maybe we don't actually get to see him. That would be a shame, he's weathered well. :(

He would have been the perfect The Master.

"The Narrator"? Could be a chosen name like The Doctor, The Master, or The Monk.

Given that he's been seen dressed in Timelord garb it seems a safe bet that we will see him. Maybe...as stated he does have a very distinctive voice...and that's a prerequesite of playing Omega ;)

He's aged very well-looks like he could still handle himself if MI6 needed some help for the new guy
