I understand that the Chinese government doesn't allow foreign movies and television episodes that feacture time travel to be shown in China ( I don't know why).

China is a large and growing market, do you think that China's restriction on time travel storylines will result in Discovery not having time travel story's so as to have access to China's market.
Star Trek opened in China in 2009 and the storyline is about the time travel. Now, I don´t know how they will react to nudity, homosexuality.

When China aired HBO’s first season of Game of Thrones in 2014, the viewers were furious. The version that the Chinese got to see was different from what the rest of the world enjoyed.
The fictional period drama was heavily edited, ripping out the violence and nudity. While the chopping of scenes was well-intentioned from China Central Television’s ‘moral’ point of view, the mindless editing, however, took away with it the drama’s essence and continuity. It was like watching a documentary of European castles on the History Channel.
But, thanks to the many video streaming sites online, today viewers in China are able to download the series with Mandarin subtitles and are able to watch it at will.
I think the same will apply to Discovery.

I had no idea that China had a problem with time travel, but I guess this also explains why the "Eastern Coalition" was invented for Star Trek: First Contact. The references to the ECON were originally supposed to be China (it's in the DVD/BR commentary), but they rewrote it at the last minute.

Although it's still possible that China was part of the ECON or even the head of it.

China has problems with time travel films (and mainly domestic films) that have their own history in it. There are no problems with time travel films in general.

Maybe the show could have an episode where the crew helps the planet"s Mon'go'la, Ty'wan and Ty'bet gain independance from a un-named powerful empire.

I'm sure China wouldn't have a problem with a episode like that ... would they?

Ty'wan and Ty'bet... Those are actually good Lannister names. And Mon'go'la is, of course, Dothraki. :D
