Well, he looks pure Mexican to me -- a willing victim of billions of hours of Mexican telenovelas. Sikh or Aztec, they can be well endowed with gorgeosity.

yeah, it's just... wierd... to me. having grown up in that region of the world, I'd never put those names together...

Jeri, the emperor (cruel etc) was Ashoka the Great. and he went through a complete transformation mid-career. very interesting figure. fascinating story. I think his claim to continued fame would probably be that over and above everything else, it was he who engineered the spread of Buddhism in East Asia. before that, Buddhism was mainly indigenous to the Indian subcontinent (in which, btw, it never took permanent hold despite the fact that the Buddha was Indian).

So when do they announce that Naveen Andrews is playing Khan in the next flick?

Too bad Sendhil Ramathury is too meh of an actor to play the role instead, because he certainly looks like somebody genetically engineered him with perfection in mind.
