THREE STOOGES 23 hr marathon.- in U.S. on AMC

Starting 7am Thursday morning (Dec. 31st), it runs until 6am New Years Day, on AMC. (Times are Eastern. Don't know if AMC has a second feed for the West Coast.)

Twenty three hours of slaps, nose pulling, sanding of heads, etc.

Entertainment at its best.

Nyuck nyuck nyuck...can't wait! I've been picking up the remastered sets, but how can anyone pass up all night Stooges? I think AMC is showing the remastered versions, too, if anyone cares.

A year or two back some station ran some of the colorized ones too. Couldn't complain in this case. Was done pretty well.

Thank goodness. I've been indulging in the New Year's Eve Three Stooges Marathon for years; Channel 38 used to do it all the time, but now you sort of have to hunt around for it.

I may watch a couple of the episodes, but I have to work. Who would've thought that my office would still operate on New Years Eve? We actually had to work Christmas Eve too.

Youtube has some Stooges shorts (Disorder In The Court, In the Sweet Pie and Pie, Violent Is The Word For Curly) but I would definitely peruse the NYE marathon.

Victims of Coicumstance, unite!

I'll either be asleep (morning & afternoon) or working (night).

And even though I have the latest Sony collections (which are frickin' amazing BTW), I probably would watch some of these.

I've been posting some "other" stooge shorts to youtube. So far I've got a couple solo Shemp Howard shorts and a couple MGM Ted Healy & His Stooges shorts.

They are located here.

^^ Nice. I've got a Shemp solo on DVD, but it's the only one I've ever seen (actually it's Shemp with his own little band of Stooges).

I think I'm going to have enough space cleared off my DVR's hard drive to record the entire thing that way too, instead of directly to DVD. Commercial editing on its way!

^ I don't know if they'll be airing the newly "remastered" shorts, but the DVD sets are very reasonably priced (under $20/set) and like I said, cleaned up beyond belief. Also, they are complete collections and the shorts are in order.

You might think about buying these if you're a fan.
