Three (or more) new posters: (Definitely) Real

Re: Three new posters: Real or (probably) fake?

Could an mod please change the title of the thread, seeing as it's been merged anyway and confirmed that these are all indeed real posters?
Done. :techman:

Quite appreciated.

As a highly unscientific test, I polled a few people (very casual fans, girlfriend included). Three liked the US poster, but two liked the UK posters more. One called the US poster, "the stupid one", yeouch.

I think the US blurry poster would've been a great teaser, with the new poster being tylized too, but with Kirk and Spock in it. Maybe by the same artist who did TMP. Though Ibelieve he died some time ago.:(

Re: Three new posters: Real or (probably) fake?

...and the Enterprise very small and clearly running for its life in the other. Not exactly a heroic portrayal of the most iconic ship in science fiction history, now is it? Would it have killed them to have the Enterprise attacking the Narada instead of fleeing it?

To add a sense of danger and "against all odds" to the poster; to have the Enterprise consistently victorious in every pose or in the majority of the movie would be very bland, as there would be no drama, sense of danger, and certainly no triumph for the audience when the Enterprise finally defeats the antagonist.

Moreover, we've seen a movie poster where the Enterprise isn't in the most "heroic portrayal" already... TUC theatrical poster.

Most days, this is how I feel about the dogmatic and hyperbolic nature of your posts.
