As for species with pointed ears, well there are some but we got even more species with strange foreheads.

As for my postings, I post mostly here and at the official Star Trek forum and both are nice and civilized places. Most of the other forums where I used to post are gone or have very little activity.

I'm only about a half-dozen episodes into the season - watching it in the order of Basics P2 > Sacred Ground > False Profits (which really ought to be preceded by a viewing of TNG Season 3's The Price) > Flashback (which really ought to be preceded by a viewing of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) > The Chute > Remember (which is the episode I'm currently watching) - and, so far, it's very much maintained the quality of story from Season 2.
