Thoughts on Reading Destiny before A Time to and AOTF?

So I have shiny new copies of the Destiny novels waiting to be cracked open after I finish plodding my way through Before Dishonor (Ugh, by the way. Not as much of an ugh as Resistance, but ugh) On the advice of some here, I've ordered the last three "A Time To" books, as well as "Articles of the Federation" Normally I would wait for the books to arrive and read them first, but the Destiny books are so pretty and I want to know what everyone is talking about. Would I be doing myself a terrible disservice by reading Destiny first, or could I get by?

You would get by just fine however I think you would get a little more out of Destiny if you read the other books first.

I don't think there's really anything from AotF or the A Time Too... books that has a specific impact on Destiny. The only way that they really impact the books is that they show you how everyone ended up where they are.

I'd amend - follow Before Dishonor with Greater Than The Sum, THEN read Destiny.
