Thought Process & Thinking

I'm a 'smoker'... I'm really laid back, I believe in good and actually truth, because it's a lot easier than lieing, a teacher of mine once told the class that in Year 9 at school... Stuck with me ever since. I believe we're all equal and that we should make the best of our selfs and this world we live in/life, better; for the one core fact I believe & know: That nobody chose to be born!
I was 4 years old when I worked that one out.

Because I'm a 'smoker'; have been green tarring it ever since I was 16, more or less -- I've sort of generally shut off my brain and mixed with society ever since... I-was-16-and-smoking-and-partying-in-community-type-college...

So anyway,
I've done that, that was cool, until just now I done something that I haven't done in years... Instead of just thinking or whatever... And I do like my imagination... It's great for being creative and acting like my own little Holo Deck in my head that's sometimes useful to plan anything, I guess, I dunno! - But what ever it is, my screen as seen by me... is pretty darn cool.

I speak first, think later.
Makes me ramble on...

Using my brain, actually having your memories in one section, and your thought processor in another, was something I forgot about doing when I was a kid, 'grasing on a field like a baby goat' - I jest yet again, TAKE ME SERIOUSLY like 0.1% of the time :); I dunno, I make me laugh, and that's good enough for me, but then again, I do like to make people laugh anyway, or whatever.

Cogito Ergo Sum - René Descartes
'I think, therefore I am'.

Because I know that I exist, I must exist... We take that for granted today but in 1600's France, he shock the the world with it!

How do you think? How does your thought processes work?
Is the Brain quite simply the organ for the Mind? -- I guess this is Philosophy, so, all's welcome to chip in, I guess; I dunno. :)

Do you know those tiny little Bee hummingbirds? Also called Zunzuncito. They are about only 5 centimeters high, with wings that move so fast the human eye can't see them. They come in many different bright colors, with brilliant, iridescent feathers.

My thoughts are like millions of those, zooming around in my head. They are brilliant and beautiful when I can catch them. They bounce off the insides of my skull sometimes and drive me crazy. Other times they fly right out of my ears and I lose them.

I speak first, think later.

Reverse that, and spend more time on the thinking part before posting a new thread in the future so that you have a coherent point and aren't just "rambling."

we must have the same brain :D

when I was little I'd annoy my mom . . . I'd try to get her attention to tell her something or ask something and it usually went like this:
"Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom! . . ."
"What?"
". . . I forgot."

My brain is like that too.

Except substitute hummingbirds with velociraptors.

You mean, of the phylum: DEATH RAPTOR?

(Check out the Binomial Name, O, Trek Fans!)

My thoughts are like those old multipurpose sports stadia. They are concrete, have no imagination, are not very colorful, and almost perfectly round. And, like RFK Stadium and the Oakland Coliseum, you just can't get rid of 'em. :shifty:

Thinking for me can be a visual thing, but that's really just a representation of the underlying process. Visualization isn't necessary. Thinking uses the brains own language, that doesn't need vision or sound. But I like to think of it as a landscape. Thinking is like having an internal landscape.

When I think I reach out into that landscape with many "feelers" at once, like a smoke monster, spreading out wider and deeper, and feeling the lay of the land.

It can be compared with lightning in slow motion. Many complex branches of electricity all reaching for a destination with some meaning, but only one will make it, and when it makes contact, it explodes into the mind brilliantly, and almost fearfully, bringing that link between A to B into sharp focus.

That link with B could be an interpretation of A, one of the critical points where other ideas can be attached to A, an idea that seems consequential of A, or something whose format resembles the format of A.

Seriously, what is with The random capitalisation of Words? My mind-brain can't get past that!

That is a seriously awesome analogy
